Experts from Finning will give their insight into how technology can improve the productivity and efficiency of agricultural, construction and plant machinery at this year’s Black Isle Show.

Finning, the world’s largest dealer of Cat® equipment, parts and services, will be returning to the largest agricultural show in North Scotland to demonstrate a range of new machinery, and show how to use in-built technology features to maximise efficiency.

Visitors can also discover more about how rebuilding and repowering machinery and equipment can lead to cost savings and support sustainability. To demonstrate how effectively this option works, the Finning team will have a machine on display that has recently been repowered for Tillicoultry Quarries – including a look at before and after.

New machinery on display at the Black Isle Show will include a Cat 972 medium wheel loader, Cat 305 excavator, CB1.7 compactor, Cat 308 mini excavator, Cat 313 hydraulic excavator, Cat 320 medium excavator and a Cat 302.7 mini excavator.

The team will also provide an insight into how software solutions can help operators and owners to get the most out of the machines through features such as auto-idle shutdown, payload technology and auto-set tyres, while remote monitoring software can further support operational efficiency and site safety.

In addition, visitors will be able to learn more about the rental options available from Finning to provide back-up power, or an off-grid solution, with the team bringing an XQP310 and a DE33EO gen-set to the show.

John Stuart, Major Accounts Manager for Finning, said: “The Black Isle Show is a fantastic opportunity to see the diverse demands for machinery and equipment across Scotland – and to discuss how we can support the needs of operators across the area.

“The nature of the landscape means that providing responsive servicing and repairs is a priority and this is a good opportunity to show how Finning can support that through our network of highly qualified field service engineers – and the use of remote diagnostics, which has driven up the first-time fix rate.

“This event also helps to give the team at Finning a direct insight into what the local community is looking for from its machinery and how we can help to meet that.”

The Black Isle Show takes place at Mannsfield Showground, in Muir of Ord, Inverness-shire, on Thursday, August 1st
