Cat® High Speed Propulsion Engines

Finning's range of Cat® marine propulsion engines delivers everything you expect from the Cat brand; high performance, high fuel efficiency, low operational costs and long term durability for every application.

Cat diesel propulsion engines range from 250 bhp for smaller vessels through to 21,475 bhp for larger installations and feature innovative ACERT® combustion technology for high fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions. Ratings are available for continuous, heavy duty, intermittent duty and high-performance installations. 

MaK Medium Speed Propulsion Engines

All MaK medium-speed engines from Finning offer the low ownership costs and high reliability that commercial operators require to carry cargo or people between ports as economically as possible. Featuring excellent fuel efficiency, low oil consumption and easy maintenance, every MaK engine in our range will deliver the best-in-class durability and performance that the industry demands.

MaK propulsion engines are also compatible with a wide range of fuel sources, offering you a number of alternatives to more traditional marine distillate diesel and gas oils. Alongside a product line of six diesel propulsion engines, we can also advise on a range of heavy fuel oil options as well as our two MaK gas engines, which can be configured to run on LNG, CNG or natural gas.

Packages can be supplied on a single main or multi-engine basis and, all engines are suitable for both diesel-mechanical and diesel-electric drives with ratings from 1,020 kW (1,390 bhp) to 16,000 kW (21,760 bhp)

Environmental concerns are also met head on. Thanks to a programme of continuous development, all MaK propulsion engines comply with the latest emissions' regulations and are available with low noise and vibration options.
