As Chief Development and Legal Officer, Ms. Murdoch has oversight of governance, including our legal and corporate secretarial functions, sustainability and ESG, and our global center of excellence in people and culture. She is responsible for ensuring we have the necessary capabilities, processes, and governance to execute our strategy and fulfill our environmental, social, and governance commitments. Ms. Murdoch chairs our Global Ethics Committee and Global Sustainability Committee, and is a member of our internal audit steering committee, global risk council, corporate disclosure committee and management pension committee.
Ms. Murdoch joined Finning in 2018 following more than 25 years in a national law firm and a leading Western Canada regional law firm, practicing business law and securities law. During her time at Finning, she has been General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Human Resources Officer. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of BC.
