Finning Leaders Recognized on Two of Canada’s Most Influential Women Lists

Finning is proud to kick off the first quarter of 2019 by celebrating two of its senior leaders being recognized by their peers for excellence in their given fields of expertise. Anna Marks, SVP and Corporate Controller for Finning International was recognized by BC Business as one of B.C.’s most influential women in Finance. The list which includes CEOs and entrepreneurs to bank executives and money managers celebrates women in Finance and is a tribute to female leaders making a difference. Lis Anderson, Global Director Category Management for Finning International was recognized as one of the 100 Influential Women in Canadian Supply Chain in Construction/Machinery by the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA).

Anna has been a part of the Finning executive team for 16 years and previously held various senior management positions in Finance including Controller of Union Gas Ltd., the second largest gas distribution company in Canada. “I am extremely honoured and very humbled to be in the same company as the other women leaders being recognized,” says Anna. “I am not one to seek attention so to be recognized as an influential leader is a huge honour. I have had wonderful leaders throughout my career that believed in me and encouraged me to take on new challenges. I hope I can encourage other women to do the same and believe in their abilities to take on new challenges and responsibilities and be successful.”

Lis, who has been in the supply chain industry for over 30 years and received her professional designation in 1999 was honoured to receive the recognition. “I am very proud of this profession and how it has grown and matured over the last couple of decades, so to receive this recognition by the SCMA at this point in my career is a huge honour. And it is extremely rewarding to be included on a list of such influential women,” says Lis.
