4Refuel has acquired an ownership interest in ComTech Energy in North America, which is a leading provider of proprietary mobile fueling solutions for low-carbon fuels, including compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG) and hydrogen.
“This transaction is strategically important for 4Refuel and Finning as it expands our fueling capabilities beyond diesel and allows us to support our customers’ journey throughout the energy transition,” said Scott Thomson, President and CEO of Finning International. “Starting with turn-key solutions for CNG and RNG, and eventually hydrogen, these solutions are important in our sustainability roadmap.”
For the past number of years, 4Refuel has extensively researched the energy transition and held active discussions with our customers about their current and future needs. Through this we learned that while diesel will continue to have high demand for numerous years to come, demand for low-carbon fuels has already begun and will only increase.
“Our partnership with ComTech allows our organizations to grow together and deliver leading-edge service and customer service excellence to both new and existing clients, while allowing them to increase productivity, reduce operating costs and reduce emissions,” said Larry Rodo, President and CEO of 4Refuel.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be able to share more information about this important investment. It is a very exciting time for us, and we are proud to help lead the energy transition.
