Finning’s vice president, mining, Cheryl Gray, was recognized by the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Alberta chapter, earning the Distinguished CPA Award.
Gray was presented with the accolade at the Elevate Awards Gala at the Fairmont Banff Springs. The distinction recognizes CPAs who have demonstrated significant achievements in the profession in the past five years.
In that time, Gray has differentiated herself with her strong commercial mindset that drives results, while also giving back to the community by supporting several charitable organizations and causes.

Gray also supports the next generation of accountants through her involvement in the CPA mentorship program at Finning, providing opportunities to CPA students to gain the work experience required to complete their program.
“Cheryl is a well-respected a role model for women and CPAs and someone who has made a profound impact here at Finning, in her community and in her profession,” said Finning Canada President David Primrose.
“Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.”
