Having exclusively used Caterpillar® equipment since 1971, Yorkshire based Aggregate specialist, Rotherham Sand & Gravel, has demonstrated its on-going confidence in Finning by purchasing the new Cat® 938K Wheel Loader.
Supplying quality aggregates, sand, gravel, concrete and decorative stone throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, Rotherham Sand & Gravel has a rapidly expanding operation.
Commenting on the deal, Paul Scholey, Managing Director at RS&G stated: “Upturn in the construction sector has led to a dramatic increase in demand for our products. It is therefore vital we have the fleet of machines to match this rise in operational activity. As we already have the Cat® 938G and two 938H Wheel Loaders on site, investing in the newest 938K model was the next logical purchase. Our drivers are already looking forward to the next M series release in March 2015.”
Paul continued: “Being pioneers of sustainable quarrying within the UK, it is not just the Cat® machine’s functional performance that is important to us. With the 938K meeting the EU Stage IIIB emission requirements, this investment is in line with one of our core values: supporting the local environment.”
