Sussex based earthmoving specialist, Penfold Verrall Ltd. has invested in the latest Cat® D6T track type tractor in a deal with Caterpillar dealer Finning (UK) & Ireland that includes a full support package and extended four year warranty.
Set to operate on earthmoving projects across the Home Counties, the Cat D6T is the first new Caterpillar track-type tractor Penfold Verrall Ltd has ever purchased. Included in the deal with Finning is a support agreement with remote condition monitoring through the Finning Finsight team in Cannock.
To ensure the equipment is maintained and supported for the next four years, Penfold Verrall Ltd has also taken out a four year extended warranty. This will combine with Finsight monitoring, analysis, diagnostics and maintenance, to ensure the Cat D6T is kept in top working order.
Commenting on the deal, Mark Nunn, Plant Manager for Penfold Verrall Ltd, said: “Caterpillar is renowned for having the best dozers in the world and the D6T is no exception. But for us it is not just about the machine, it is about ensuring we can keep it operating to its optimum performance levels over the next four years. We have built our business around delivering projects on-time and on-budget so we will be relying heavily on maintaining high uptime on this machine”.
“This is why the on-going support agreement from Finning and its Finsight monitoring solution was such a draw, as the team in Cannock can provide us with a real time response to any issues we may have. That saves us time and ultimately money.”
The Cat D6T track-type tractor offers enhanced fuel efficiency and productivity and is suitable for a wide range of jobs, from dozing and ripping to scraper work and finish grading. With low ground pressure tracks, the machine has gained a reputation for versatility, tackling challenging terrains that might be limiting to others.
Dermot O’Connor, sales representative for Finning, added: “The Cat D6T is a very powerful and productive machine. The machine itself is very easy to operate and can also be fitted with the latest GPS technology to support data gathering onsite. For the earthmoving sector it is a key product in any fleet and for Penfold Verrall it will deliver both time and productivity benefits”
