Plasmor Ltd, a privately owned concrete block building and paving manufacturer, has purchased two new Cat® 950M Wheel Loaders and two M3022 Material Handlers from the largest Caterpillar dealer, Finning UK & Ireland.
As one of the UK’s largest independent concrete products manufacturer, Plasmor supplies the commercial, residential and industrial sector with sustainable construction materials. In light of their commitment to sustainability, Plasmor opted for the brand new Cat 950M Wheel Loader launched earlier in the year. This high performance and fuel-efficient machine is recognised by the EU’s IV emission standards and comes with the Finning Fuel Promise.
The Cat 950M Wheel Loader is up to 10 per cent more fuel efficient than its predecessor and features a major drive-train refinement, a range of Cat Performance Series buckets and a Z-bar link that allows for enhanced bucket performance and a parallel lift.
The Cat M3022 Material Handler is also a new machine with new ECO modes and Auto Engine Speed Control; alongside the ability to remotely monitor the machine, the carbon footprint is reduced and productivity is improved.
Finning UK & Ireland has worked with Plasmor Ltd. for 23 years and has purchased up to 40 Cat machines. Julian Slater, Managing Director of Plasmor has maintained a relationship with the Caterpillar dealer, Finning, for 20 years: “We have consistently purchased Cat machines from Finning and have seen continued product improvements, including a reduction in fuel consumptions and emissions, which in turn, has helped us reduce our carbon footprint.”
Ted Farrance, Fleet Engineer at Plasmor Ltd. concludes: “Plasmor has worked with Finning since 1992; we trust in their reputation, service, and ability to bring efficient and eco-friendly machines to market.
“56 years in business, we are heavily focused on environmental and sustainable production methods; with all of our production plants close to traditional sources of raw materials, it makes sense to operate machinery that is also as eco-conscious as our business.”
