Family-run skip hire and recycling firm, RS Skips, has replaced its fleet with new Cat® machines from Finning UK and Ireland.
Finning, the world’s largest dealer of Cat machines, parts and aftermarket services, secured a deal with RS Skips to supply five new Cat products to replace their previous mixed-brand fleet and uniform their operations.
The machine haul includes two new Cat 315 GC excavators, two Cat G318 sorting grapples and a Cat MH 3022 material handler. All the machines are supported with a 36-month warranty package which includes 6,000-hour service programme, and Full Premier Cover with ongoing support from the Finning team.
Ryan Trafford, Territory Account Manager at Finning, said: “The client was looking for machines that would hold up to the rigorous work involved in waste yard management. Using our expertise, we were able to recommend machines that would be the perfect fit for their operations and would save them money in the long run, taking into consideration fuel costs, servicing and reliability, and still have great residual value at the end of three years.
RS Skips was looking for machines that offered superior longevity of use and reliability than their previous fleet, as well as cost savings in servicing and replacing parts. Finning was able to provide details about the warranty and service packages that meant all running costs are covered with no hidden surprises.
Sukh Randhawa, Director at RS Skips, said: “Ryan was a huge help in talking us through our options, landing on the Cat 315GC as the best fit for our requirements, coupled with the G318 grapple and the MH 3022. The reliability and longevity of Cat equipment alongside the comprehensive support from Finning, means that we’re able to reduce maintenance costs and maximise the efficiency of our recycling operation as part of our sustainability commitment of reducing waste going to landfill.”
